General Contest Rules
These General Contest Rules apply to all contests conducted by Suncoast Radio (“Station”), including Classic Rock 107.9 FM and Classic Country 93.1 FM, 96.3 FM, 940 AM, and 1240 AM, unless otherwise specified in the official rules of a particular contest. By participating in any contest, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.
1. Eligibility
• Contests are open to legal residents of Florida who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry, unless otherwise stated in specific contest rules.
• Employees of Suncoast Radio, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members are not eligible to participate or win.
• Only one winner per household per contest, unless otherwise specified.
• Contests are void where prohibited by law.
2. How to Enter
• No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
• Entry methods may include on-air calls, online submissions, email, text messaging, social media, or in-person events, as announced for each individual contest.
• For text message entries, standard message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier.
• Limit one entry per person unless otherwise stated. Multiple entries from the same individual may result in disqualification.
• All entries become the property of the Station and will not be returned.
3. Contest Period
• Each contest will have specific start and end dates and times as announced on-air, on the Station website (suncoastradio.com), or through official Station social media channels.
• The Station reserves the right to modify, extend, shorten, suspend, or cancel any contest at any time at its sole discretion.
4. Prizes
• Prizes vary by contest and may include tickets, merchandise, cash, gift cards, or experiences. Approximate retail values (ARV) will be announced when applicable.
• Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash unless specifically stated by the Station.
• Winners are responsible for all taxes, fees, and expenses associated with the prize, including any travel or incidental costs unless otherwise specified.
• The Station is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged prizes after they have been awarded.
5. Winner Selection and Odds
• Winners will be selected randomly, by skill (such as trivia or contests of ability), or as otherwise described in the specific contest rules.
• Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
• All decisions of Suncoast Radio regarding contest administration and winner selection are final.
6. Notification and Verification
• Winners will be notified via phone, email, on-air announcement, or other method specified for the contest.
• Winners must respond within the timeframe specified in the notification (typically 48 hours) or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
• Winners may be required to provide valid identification and complete an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and, where applicable, IRS tax forms (such as Form W-9 for prizes valued at $600 or more).
• By accepting a prize, winners grant the Station permission to use their name, voice, likeness, and entry for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
7. Release and Indemnification
• By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Suncoast Radio, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, sponsors, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or injuries arising from participation in the contest or acceptance and use of any prize.
• The Station is not responsible for technical failures, lost or incomplete entries, network outages, human error, or any issues beyond its reasonable control.
8. Privacy
• Personal information collected for contests is used for administration of the contest and may be used for marketing and promotional purposes in accordance with the Station’s Privacy Policy, available at suncoastradio.com/privacy.
• Entrants agree to receive communications from the Station unless they opt out through available methods.
9. General Conditions
• The Station reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these rules, engages in fraudulent activity, or attempts to tamper with the contest process.
• All contests are subject to applicable federal, state (Florida), and local laws and regulations, including FCC requirements.
• In the event of any dispute, decisions will be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with venue in the county in which the Station is located.
